About the El Paso Native Plant Society
The El Paso Native Plant Society (EPNPS) was formed in 1981. Its goals are to promote:
greater knowledge of the native plants of the northern Chihuahuan desert;
the use of native plants in landscaping;
conservation of native plants and plant communities;
identifying and monitoring threatened or endangered native plants and plant communities;
and the development and maintenance of the Chihuahuan Desert Gardens at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and other publicly accessible native plant gardens.
